Warranty + Building-Code Disclaimer

Last updated: 2026-04-17 · Effective: 2026-04-17

Construction applications require a licensed design professional. Lok-N-Blok® products are a framing system. Final structural design, code compliance, and permit approval for any building are the responsibility of a licensed architect or structural engineer of record in the jurisdiction where the project is built. Marketing claims on blokusa.com are not a substitute for signed and sealed project-specific engineering.

1. Product warranty status

Public pages on blokusa.com do not create a standalone product warranty. Any product warranty, warranty period, transfer right, remedy, exclusion, installation condition, or claim process will be stated in the signed product supply agreement, purchase order, installation guide, or project contract that applies to the specific order. If a signed agreement conflicts with this page, the signed agreement controls.

2. Exclusive remedy

Where a signed agreement provides a warranty, the exclusive remedy will be the remedy stated in that agreement. Unless a signed agreement says otherwise, public website copy does not cover labor, removal, reinstallation, finishing, consequential repair costs, financing costs, delay costs, or third-party claims.

3. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

4. How to make a warranty claim

  1. Email info@blokusa.com with "Warranty Claim" in the subject line.
  2. Include: original sales invoice or order number, project address, date of installation, and photos of the alleged defect.
  3. Do not dispose of the allegedly defective product until we have completed our inspection.
  4. We will acknowledge within 5 business days and propose next steps (remote inspection, in-person inspection, or direct replacement) within 30 days.

5. Building code, permits, and engineering — your responsibility

Construction methods using Lok-N-Blok® blocks must comply with the International Building Code (IBC), International Residential Code (IRC), International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), and any state, county, or municipal amendments in effect at the project site. We provide general technical data (structural test reports, thermal performance data, ICC-ES evaluation where applicable) to assist design professionals, but:

The project owner, general contractor, and licensed design professional of record retain full responsibility for design, permitting, and inspection compliance.

6. Installer certification

Where Lok-N-Blok has certified an installer, the certification applies only to installation technique. It does not extend to structural design, site conditions, or code compliance. A certified installer is not our agent and cannot bind us to warranty obligations beyond those stated here.

7. Disclaimer of implied warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the limited warranty above is the sole and exclusive warranty provided by Lok-N-Blok. Lok-N-Blok disclaims all other warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Lok-N-Blok, its affiliates, licensors, suppliers, or resellers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, consequential, or punitive damages (including but not limited to lost profits, business interruption, loss of data, cost of substitute goods, or construction delay costs) arising out of or related to the product, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event will Lok-N-Blok's aggregate liability under this warranty exceed the original purchase price of the product at issue.

9. No warranty of environmental claims

Marketing claims on blokusa.com relating to sustainability, embodied carbon, recycled content, or environmental benefit are based on measurements and assumptions as of the date stated. These claims are not a product warranty. They are not a representation that any specific certification (LEED, WELL, Living Building Challenge, etc.) will be awarded to a project using our product.

10. Third-party products

The warranty on any third-party product (including but not limited to waterproofing membranes, insulation, mechanical systems, and finish materials) used in conjunction with Lok-N-Blok® blocks is the warranty of that third-party manufacturer. We make no warranty, express or implied, with respect to third-party products.

11. Transfer

Any warranty transfer right must be stated in the signed warranty or supply agreement for the specific order. Public website copy does not create an automatic transfer right.

12. Governing law

This warranty is governed by the laws of the state in which Lok-N-Blok Systems LLC is organized, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in that state, or through arbitration under our Terms of Service, as applicable.
